The 73-year-old actor, Sam Elliott, and his wife, Katharine Ross, have been married for more than three decades and still have on-screen chemistry.

Ross co-starred with her husband in one of his latest films, The Hero. The film was released on June 9, 2017, and follows the story of an aging actor who takes stock of his life after a cancer diagnosis.

As reported by Country Living, Elliott and Ross met in 1978 while working on The Legacy, and dated for six years before tying the knot in 1984. Their daughter was born after one year of marriage.

Ross semi-retired from acting in the seventies to focus on her family and to raise their daughter. She has, however, occasionally appeared in several films since then.

Her first passion is theatre and she was inspired to drop out of college and pursue stage acting as a career when she saw a production of The King and I in the late 1950's.

After appearing on stage in King Lear and The Balcony, she extended her skills to the silver-screen and was cast in three of Hollywood's most iconic films from its Golden Era.

She is most notably known for her role of Elaine Robinson in the 1967 film, The Graduate. Ross won several awards for her superb performance, including a Golden Globe.

In 1975, she was cast as Joanna Eberhart in the iconic film, The Stepford Wives, for which she won a Saturn Award for Best Actress. She received a second Golden Globe in 1976 for Voyage of the Damned.

Ross carefully selects scripts and job offers, and only accepts a part if it resonates with her. When she isn't honing her craft in front of the camera, she likes to spend time with her horses.

She jokingly told Chuck Barney from The Mercury News that she was attracted to Elliott because of his voice, his mustache, and his rugged looks, but was quick to add that there's so much more to their attraction than his physical attributes.

Fans of Elliott can look forward to his upcoming projects. A Star is Born will be released later this year, while The Gettysburg Address and The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot is in post-production.
