Newborn twins forced to put them back together again with heartbreaking crying

A set of newborn twins at a Florida hospital decided they did not want to be separated at birth. Weston and Caleb Lyman were born on February 25, 2018 to parents Dane and Lisa.

The boys were placed together after birth but began crying hysterically when they were separated. Their crying immediately stopped when they were reunited.

Their Dad, Dane taped the emotional scene. Dane, who is a medical student at the University of Central Florida had gone to check on the boys and find out how much they weighed.

"One of our greatest hopes, when we found out we were having twins, was that, as they grew, they would be good friends and support one another. Seeing them comfort each other just moments after birth was almost like the first step in that special relationship.”

His wife Lisa, who is a nurse, has since opted to stay at home to take care of her growing family. She was not able to look at the babies crying.

“My wife Lisa wasn't able to see that and didn't even know it was happening. When I showed her, she was emotional and grateful I captured that moment. We both still tear up when we watch it.”'

Dane’s video has been viewed over 168,000 times and shared over 400 times on Facebook. On YouTube it has received over 9,500 views.

Even though the boys were born four weeks premature the delivery went smoothly.

What may be surprising to others is that Weston and Caleb’s crying is consistent with information provided by various institutions. Two of the senses babies that are more highly developed in babies are hearing and touch. Vision in newborns is blurry. Since babies begin picking up on vibrations during pregnancy and then they begin hearing, the voices in the room where they were placed after they were born would have been strange. Touching each other comforted them because they were together for the nine months prior to their delivery.

While this is a touching story it is one that offers some advice on understanding newborns. Newborns are a bundle of joy but they are also very interesting once you take the time to know them. As Weston and Caleb get older hopefully the Lymans would have more interesting stories to share.
